Extra notes

  • SpatialRover8 will be coming soon: This release of SpatialExplorer 8 is currently for use during post processing only. The SpatialRover update required to use SpatialExplorer during acquisition is pending release. Please continue to acquire data with SpatialExplorer 7 until further notice.
  • New file formats: SpatialExplorer 8 uses a new .cloud file format for improved robustness and speed as well as new features. This means that the old .cloud format from versions 5, 6 and 7 is no longer compatible with version 8. If you need to migrate clouds from earlier versions, please export them to LAS/LAZ and reimport into SpatialExplorer 8. Also, PLP files saved with SpatialExplorer 8 will not open in earlier versions of the software.
  • Licensing & Feature Changes: A SpatialExplorer license key is now required for exporting any data from SE. Licenses that were formerly "Spatial Explorer Pro" are now 2 separate licenses, SpatialExplorer and SpatialPro. This is to support the new plug-ins style architecture of the SE software suite. Your accounts has been automatically updated. Please check your subscriptions page to find the current license keys for SpatialExplorer 8.
  • Documentation: Please check https://docs.phoenixlidar.com for up-to-date documentation on all of our software.
  • NavLab Embedded license key update: NavLab Embedded in SE8 uses updated activation code that requires a refreshed license. Your current NavLab Embedded key will only work in SE7. Contact support@phoenixlidar.com to have your key updated for SE8 compatibility.
  • New Auto Subscription Renewal Option: You can now conveniently create a recurring subscription by credit card through https://accounts.phoenixlidar.com
